Run with Good StyleWe all have our little quirks/habits when we run. Some of these are for good biomechanical reasons (arm movement can help counteract slight differences in leg length), but in training runs and in running drills we have the chance to think about style as we run. The basics are:
The more energy we can get going forward and backward rather than sideways the better, especially arms where any sideways movement is wasting effort. So, elbows backwards not out sideways and hands high and in front of the corresponding shoulder, rather than crossing the body.
